Facebook biz page inbox question

This annoys the crap out of me. Wondering if I'm doing something wrong. On my biz page, every time I go to it it shows a number highlighted in red next to "Inbox". To me, it seems that would indicate some new, which has NOT be read. However, when I drill down to it, they are all messages I've already read and responded to. Is there somewhere you have to go clear that manually?

Yes, I would be happier with 100s. I see what you guys are talking about. Every page comment gets shown as an inbox item. That seems kinda stupid to me. It seems the messenger inbox functions would be a bit more refined. I feel like I have to constantly go back and check the page as the notification system seems to be hit or miss and then when you do go check, then you have the false new message notification. Ugh.

On a better note I did have a couple of leads come in for the venue. One for an elopement (just added it to my packages) and another for a venue+DJ+photography event Sept 2020. Man, I sure hope I don't run into any more snags on this project. I'll be glad when concrete is done on Monday. You guys have a great weekend.
