Talking about marketing, I'm using Eventective to generate leads for my venue. Not sure how good they are with DJ but most all of my bookings have come from here. I'm paying $84/month (discounted from $110) for what they call a subscription. It basically gives me all of the leads they generate in my area. When a client goes to your profile and clicks "Request Pricing", they generate what they call a "Referral" and it only goes to you. A general inquiry get blasted out to multiple vendors, who all compete. I've had some brides tell me they were too far away (100 miles), but considering how easy it is to reply to an inquiry, I'm not complaining. The more the merrier.

The reply system is drop-dead easy. You get an email, click the link, and it takes you to your lead dashboard. The system lets you setup pre-defined "templates" so when you reply, it's literally like 2 clicks and it produces something like below. Incidentally, I just re-worked my templates. I had prices and too much details in the initial email, which is all text, but I just changed it to put less info (more of a teaser), that will hopefully convince them to open the PDF, which has much more compelling content (pictures and colors). I've done probably 8 years with WW and TK and frankly this is magnitudes better. This thing actually makes me money, instead of just promising "if you only get 1 booking you pay for it" type crap that WW pushes.

Just wanted to share, to hopefully help out my friends here. If you have any questions, please let me know.
