I've used two different moving heads from Epsilon - the PixBeam 7-LED wash and the Mini Z-Beam 6-LED zoom spot. They were both less than $200 on PSSL and similar in size and construction. They were made in China, like everything else, but the documentation and build quality is closer to ADJ than an off-brand Amazon knock-off. From what I can tell, Epsilon tried to compete with ADJ and Chauvet a few years ago, at least on the trade show level, but no longer provide customer support these days. You can find attractive close-out sales on their stuff at PSSL.
The Z-Beam was a cool little zoom spot, but it's already been discontinued. The PixBeam is directly comparable to the ADJ Inno Color Beam Quad 7 and less than a quarter the price. The PixBeam's LED's are pixel-addressable, but they fuse into a single 10-degree beam, so there's not much SFX potential. The Inno Color Beam has ADJ's selectable fade curves, but not much else to distinguish it from the PixBeam. Bottom line: I would not pay $800 for the Inno Color Beam, and have had no issues with the $200 PixBeam. What I'd really prefer, however, is a reliable $400 alternative from a reputable company with pro-active customer support.
