Doing a Sorority formal - think I'll use their sound system

The deal is, not everyone is going to like the same speaker. What one guy thinks rocks, the other guy thinks is shit. It all comes down to what we personally want. Doesn't make it bad or good, just different.

Exactly, Chuck. Our perceptions are all different. My main beef with the Bose fanatics is they seem to want to belittle the opinions of others, if it goes contrary to worshipping their Bose deity. As for me, I really like Bose. It's the only name brand that I've ever seen register with a bride during the sales process. From a functional side, however, it's not magic. Like Steve said, that F1 is a 2X10 sub. It's physically impossible for it to produce mind-blowing low end frequencies and in my book, it drops off pretty badly at the 50-foot mark. Like I said, I appreciated not having to setup/teardown my full rig. The only point was that the F1 just wasn't all that great in my book. There are much more effective tools that cost a lot less.

I think I posted this already, but I ran the L1 system for about 3 years.... clients loved it, name branding was amazing. I had people say that I must be great because I ran BOSE, it is the only name that will increase your sales. But they had their limitations and after awhile, I moved on. But they were great while I had them...

Everything has their limitations. No magic. Would love to meet one of these magical people I hear about😄There's a number of things I don't like about my model 2's and the model 1's before that. Just too many things I really like to switch.

I'm not even remotely interested in the F1. Just not for me. The evox is the only thing I've seen so far that I'd switch to

Not a single one. Since I figured out how to disable sleep mode on the tablet, that little dude just sits there and makes its magic.
Very nice!

My tablet only gives me 30 minutes before sleep kicks in....no apparent way to change that...so i will have to deal with that

Apparently there are "developer options" you can turn on that will allow longer timeout settings on the Galaxy Tabs ... How to keep your Android phone's screen on longer - (https://www.greenbot.com/article/2463970/how-to-keep-your-android-phones-screen-on-longer.html)

and the developer options .. How to unlock and enable Developer options on any Android phone - (https://www.greenbot.com/article/2457986/how-to-enable-developer-options-on-your-android-phone-or-tablet.html)

You stole my thunder. Yes, on android, there is a special key combination (or menu options, whatever) that will take you to developer mode. From there, it's just a switch and sleep is turned off. I'm fairly certain ios has the same thing.

Enable developer options and debugging
  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. (Only on Android 8.0 or higher) Select System.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and select About phone.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Build number 7 times.
  5. Return to the previous screen to find Developer options near the bottom.

On my iPads, there is already an "autolock - Never" option.

This MIGHT be it for ios

To do this, go to your iPad Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock. Set Auto-Lock to "Never". This will keep your screen awake, but still respect your screen dimming settings. If you want to prevent people from changing the app on screen, you'll need toturn on Guided Access mode next.

When the myDmx Go ever gets here, I'll try both my iPad (mini and regular) and the LG Android tablet I have. I don't use the LG for anything else, so it would be preferred if it is responsive enough.

Have you tried the app on your ipad mini already? My mini wouldn't update to a late enough edition of ios, needed to run the app. That's why I had to buy a Kindle. I'm really thinking I may drop a batch of ceremony music on that tablet and start using it for ceremonies.

Here's another ios sleep resource:

As per usual....Youre uncanny web surfing prowse has saved the day... that was some weird instructions (tap screen 7 times) but worked like a charm!

Thanks ya old lug!

im on cloud 9!

i am so excited to use this software live...but had been really nervous about forgetting to touch the screen during dinner music to ensure it didnt go to sleep... that was kinda plaguing me....though it seems like an easy enough thing to remember...its one of those things that makes an OCD fella like myself stare at the ceiling for hours at night thinking about it..

Now its solved!! Thanks fellas!
