@MIXMASTERMACHOM .. here's your new angle .. buy one, call it a HOUSE (music) HOME, instead of a DISCO DOME, and you'll be rich before you know it !!

A friend of mine is using it at his home for a teen's birthday party.
He does some design work for the company (local) and is getting it for about 75% less.

It's 25 feet in diameter which makes it substantially larger than your typical bounce house, and has a built in light show, mirror ball, and sound system.

This is sort of the reality of where party entertainment is these days - it's all about the novelty experience and not so much about really getting people together anymore. It's the latter influence that enabled DJs to become a a party option - because the focus was still always on the social gathering and not the splash or impact one makes with their entertainment. I think the biggest failure of DJs over-all is the trend to position themselves as a collection of merchandise.

When you look at how DJs reinvent and represent themselves these days it's a sad human statement. It's amazing how many people describe themselves on the basis of mere inventory, as though the proposition of their greatest value and offering is rooted in the possession of given merchandise (lights, photo-booth, or some some other novelty) that in reality is readily available in abundant supply. When DJs are positioned in the public eye this way it's quite easy to replace them with another piece of merchandise.
