CANCELLED for 2020 (not unexpected)

DJ Expo ’20 Cancelled
Expo ’21 News Coming Soon
Due to the overwhelmingly stark realities of the moment – genuine health concerns, state-mandated restrictions on gatherings and travel, etc. – DJ Expo 2020, regretfully, will not take place.

The DJ Times-produced show had been set for November 16-19 at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City. Despite the uniquely challenging circumstances, Expo organizers made every effort to present the latest incarnation of the industry’s longest-running exhibition/conference.
In its stead, DJ Expo organizers will present Expo-related online content that show participants – attendees and exhibitors – will find beneficial. Updates to follow.

As for DJ Expo 2021… expect some exciting news to be delivered shortly. Stay tuned.

You are already registered for DJ Expo 2021! We will automatically transfer your current registration to DJ Expo 2021 in August so there is nothing you need to do. If you would like to cancel it or edit the attendees, please feel free to go to Eventbrite and do it yourself or email [email protected] and we will make the necessary changes.

We look forward to bringing you a bigger and better DJ Expo in August, 2021.

Stay Safe and Be Well.

A bit early, but next years DJ Expo will be again at Harrah's Resort in Atlantic City from August 10-13.

** UPDATE **
Due to Covid-19 concerns about restarting, the DJ Expo has moved to November 16-19, 2020 and they added a focus of sessions to help DJs restart their businesses after losing much of the year.

NO THANKS....Can't stand all the dj's scratching. It just sounds terrible.

They need to realize that well over half of the dj's who attend are wedding and special event dj's. Many of those don't scratch.

Registration is now open for DJ Expo 2020

The Expo only is still FREE (until June 15th). You can add on the VIP Party package for $100.

All Access (all presentations/seminars) is $300 before June 15th.

Rooms at Harrahs are pretty cheap at $119, but I got an even better deal last year through the Caesars Rewards program (free to join).

I usually get the expo only pass. I have to see if Bryan wants to go again or do another conference or CES. If he doesn't want to go I won’t go unless I have work in the area.

Does anybody get the All Access?
I've only gotten the Expo pass .. this dog is too old to learn new tricks .. :)

I am going on vacation the following Monday for a week to Myrtle Beach. ...I can't take any time off of work for this.

Now, if for some reason I am not working at my job any more come August, then I will plan to go to it. Hopefully, I win the lottery jackpot by then :)

Just curious....What are the odds that the DJ EXPO in Atlantic City actually happens as planned?

Do you think it is going to be cancelled for the first year ever?

Or will it go on as planned, but they will limit capacity in the Expo room? Maybe 50 people max inside of each work shop, and maybe capacity to ballroom is limited to 20% at a single time? ...This will certainly be interesting. I am most curious whether or not this expo actually happens.

Judging from LA Mayor, and New York's Mayor...large gatherings won't be happening this year at all...but maybe that is just for those cities. ...Atlantic City needs whatever money they can get in, and needs the casinos opened so maybe by August they won't care about having any restrictions? 🤔 😷

Who knows .. I'm still "planning" on going

IMO, if they're going to open the beaches, restaurants, etc .. then they will open conference halls.

I have been to every expo from the very first one but from the info I’ve seen it’s very likely I won’t be making it this year. That’s if they even decide to have it, remember you need both a good amount vendors & Attendees to make it work and be profitable. I have read when they test all of a give population they find a majority have it and are asymptomatic, showing no symptoms. So as of right now I am still limiting my movements & exposure.

If it were in my neck o' da woods, maybe I'd visit/attend to see/meet some foreign DJ comrades.

After attending several deeeejay conferences, I've not been convinced or compelled to re-waste valuable time & resources on such events.

I go to see the gear .. maybe see a few on the boards (@Cap Capello , @adj2ent , @Albatross , @djtaso ) .. and of course to get a glimpse of the ever elusive @MIXMASTERMACHOM . Assuming it's still on and AC hasn't become a hot spot, I'll go for an overnight .. maybe 2 if my wife wants to go again. I'll book a refundable room and play it by ear. If the vendor landscape looks barren, I'll punt.

NOLA would be a good place to move it. I'm not sure why it's still being done in AC. At least we'd have better food options.

They keep it in Atlantic City because it’s close to the tri-state area with the highest concentration of people. At A/C Majority of the people drive in to A/C. It is reachable by car from over 8 states and at least 5 airports if you rent a car. NYC would likely be their first choice but that’s way too Expensive. In the 80’s I attended the New Music Semiar conferenc in NYC. Those shows where great with evening events at many of the big clubs. Years ago DJ Times tried LA. Las Vegas is where the other guys are, FL would have too many distractions and wouldn’t be cheap. The only places I will consider flying into would be LA, Vegas, Orlando maybe Miami, Chicago or Dallas. Vegas by far is the Easiest the fly into, between CES, Mobile Beat & Nightclub and bar conferences I’ve been there too many times.

Maybe they'll try Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods some day, though we don't have beaches that close if that draws anyone. Easy shot from NYC or Boston/Providence via bus or train.
