Let me ask this question: What if there was an animal disease going around that your DOG could catch, and he would get sick, but would have a 99% chance of survival. However, you’re told there’s an EXPERIMENTAL drug that you could give your dog, but it might not prevent him from getting the disease, and there’s a chance it could KILL him. Would you give your dog the experimental drug?

Not sure who’s administering the vaccines there in New Jersey. Here, there’s all kinds of people doing it. My Doctor was a volunteer at one of the 70 Vaccination Centers in this area. He was NOT paid. He was a volunteer. Uncle Sam paid for the vaccine. I got my first injection at the Pharmacy where I get my prescriptions. It was administered by one of the pharmacists. The pharmacy paid her, and my health insurance paid the pharmacy.

Dude, you are so uninformed it scares me. I know there are millions like you, and it REALLY scares me!😳
Why does this scare you? Is it because every day they keep drilling it into people's heads hurry up and get tested and take the vaccine so you can live or you're going to risk dying or affecting someone else? I hardly watch the news because they mostly report tragedies and just how badly people need this vaccine shot. I'm not allowing the media to brain wash me into taking something I feel I don't need.

I believe this response is a perfect example of what he's talking about. If you comprehended any of his posts, you'd get a pretty obvious picture about his stance on the vaccine and the media.

You, like everyone else is entitled to your opinion. But when you say things like"they've been working on the vaccine for this disease for 10 years", it makes people think that you easily believe what you want to believe, not because it's based on facts or logic. Having people like that voting for leadership can worry people that want the best for the country.

The good news is you are not alone. Some think the world is flat. Some think the moon landing happened in Hollywood. And some think Bill Gates is Doctor Evil and wants to take over the world😄

No I was going by what I heard on a commercial about the vaccine being worked on for 10 years. So if it's a lie blame the media and not me.

But you just said "I'm not allowing the media to brain wash me" and then you blindly believe something you think you heard something on a commercial. That's the definition of believing what you want to believe.

If you heard anything, I'm guessing that they were working on the Type of vaccine, MRNA, for years

Wrong. I said what they said. Who said I believe what was said. I don't give a damn when they started working on the vaccine, I'm not interested in taking it.

Actually, you did.

You didn't say it was someone else saying it.

You said:
How is it that for over 10 years they were working on a vaccine and the virus came out last year?

This would indicate that this is what you believe. Unless of course, you randomly spout out things you don't believe to be true.

And when it was pointed out how silly it was, now you claim it wasn't you and never said you believed it?

Weak.

Mix,

YOU are up there in age, and in the 3rd most vulnerable age group if you contract Covid. The most vulnerable are those age 85+. Age 70 - 84 is 2nd, and 55 to 69 is 3rd.

Have you had a bad allergic reaction to a vaccine before? If you have, then don't take the vaccine. Have you discussed getting the vaccine with a doctor? If your doctor tells you that you should not get the vaccine, then don't. If your Doctor says you should be fine getting the vaccine knowing your health issues, then you should get it.

I believe everyone over the age of 55 should absolutely get this vaccine. The risk of getting a BAD case of Covid or Death most certainly outweigh the potential risks of having a bad side effect, or the very, very low chance of potential death due to the Vaccine.

Age 35 to 54, I would still recommend getting it personally. Odds of dying are LOW, but odds of having a severe case are high enough, and who wants to spend weeks in a hospital and/or hooked up to a respirator when the vaccine will without a doubt reduce the symptoms of Covid to Mild or even light symptoms?

People under age 35, and comparing statistics/odds of contracting Covid AND getting a Severe Case of Covid, or Death become tougher to justify for getting the vaccine, and this is where I totally understand people not wanting to get the vaccine because they can make a case against not needing it.

For people under age 21, it makes almost no sense to get the Covid Shot. 99.8% of people under age 21 who test positive are either asymptomatic (50%) or have light (35%) to mild (14%) symptoms from Covid. People under 21 years old are going to be more susceptible to the Seasonal Flu. Having a case of Covid severe enough to spend time in a hospital is very rare, let alone death from Covid at this age range. It can still happen, but the odds of death are likely lower than the odds of a bad allergic reaction to the vaccine. This is why I don't understand the push to get 12-18 years olds, and potentially soon children vaccinated.

My point is, at your age, you should want this vaccine unless you should not get the vaccine due to allergy reasons and/or your doctor says not to get it.

I only know a few people who had Covid. The waitress where I go had it back in January. I think she’s in her late 50’s and she’s overweight. However she had only mild symptoms, but lost her sense of taste and smell. After more than 4 months, she still has not regained them. She says she began to taste salt, but no other tastes, and she still can’t smell anything. She says she still eats all the same stuff and quantity, but she does it by REMEMBERING what things tasted like. I think it would make me CRAZY if I lost those senses, thus I got the vaccine.

Of the people I know that had covid, none had any serious cases. Well, my one friend's father, who was 89, had dementia, a bad heart, and had been in a nursing home for 3 years...died....of covid

I lost my senses of taste and smell 16 years ago from chemotherapy. I eat things with TEXTURE since I can hardly remember what anything tastes like.
Am I upset? Not really since I can't change it and since I am still here to tell it.:pillyes:

But I do have to rely on the kindness of strangers to grade any gas I have...

Personally knew several that contracted a virus that was allegedly Covid-19 and none died, most/all recovered with no issues and only 2-3 days of down time...kinda like influenza. One (a less than compliant diabetic with cardiopulmonary history) struggled, as he would have had he contracted influenza, or any other invasive virus.

P.S. F China.

I know 12 people of all ages that got Covid, most were fine, 3 went to the hospital, one died. The one who died was 45 and in excellent shape, and would be the least person imaginable that should have passed away from Covid. It was super sad and it still weirds me out. You just don't know how you will react to it, let alone spread to people that will have a bad reaction or are in an age group that could be severely affected.

I remember here on the forum, posting about a 39 year old DJ who died from Covid last March early in the pandemic. Looked 100% healthy, and wife said he was in great shape. My friend's Dad who was 73 passed away From Covid. He was a bit over weight, but I don't know if he had other underlying conditions or not. More susceptible because of his age I suppose. It was a shock to my friend that his Dad died that way.

My Mother in Law had a bunch of friends get sick with Covid last October/November. 1 ended up in hospital for a few days, but pulled through! The others had flu like symptoms for a few days on up to 2 weeks. They were all in their late 60s.

Not weak at all. I was just going by what I heard was said. Now I get it that the big push is to get as many people as they can to get the vaccine shot. They keep playing on doing it to save lives and for your love ones. So if those people want to feed into what they keep pushing out there to get the vaccine shot, I say go for it. I just have no plans at this time getting the vaccine shot. I'm not feeding into the scare tactics they are using to scare people into getting the vaccine shots.

never said I believe in what they said. I was just talking about what was said. The thing that a lot of people are focusing on is that it's free. When I hear something is free, I say to myself what's the catch?

You seem pretty adamant about not getting the vaccine for someone that doesn't believe what was said....

God gave us the right to choose and I choose to not take the vaccine and I choose not to let them turn me into a human experiment. As for my age and existing health conditions, that doesn't scare me into taking the vaccine shots. I don't feel sick. So why would I take the vaccine and I'm not feeling that I need it? Everybody will do what they feel they need to do or not need to do.
