Note: These operate in the 2.4GHz world, where there is a lot of competition already. Indoors, this could be problematic and outdoors, depending on line of sight.

possibly .. Denon does have a solution in their manual:

If possible, power off or remove any nearby devices that transmit on a 2.4 GHz frequency. These devices can cause interference.

They list distance of the transmitter at 100 ft in one paragraph, 200 ft in the one before

The DN-202WT is a wireless audio transmitter with balanced XLR and ¼-inch inputs, enabling users to send audio from a professional audio mixer or source through walls and ceilings up to 200 feet (60m) away.

DN-202WT FEATURES:
  • For use with DN-202WR.
  • Sends audio up to 30m(100 ft)

Regardless, I'd give these a try. If I didn't get any interference for 3-4 gigs, I'd keep them. If they offer any type of gaurentee, let me know.

I've been kind of hoping the Alto Stealth Pro units came down in price a little (currently $600 for transmitter and 2 receivers) .. I think at $500 I'd pounce.

One issue on the Denon units is they don't seem to have a convenient mounting option other than Velcro. The Stealth Pro also are diversity setups, and they have delay options .. nice for a remote rear speaker.

I have the Denon system - I bought it three months ago, but haven't had a chance to test it out yet. If it works as advertised, it'll be great. However, from reading the manual, the pairing seems to be tricky and there's no display to show signal strength, like the Alto Stealth Pro has. The 2.4 GHz part is also troubling... my wireless DMX transmitters are also 2.4 GHz.

Let us know how it works .. I'd like to replace the Sennheiser IEM setup I use with something that doesn't run on batteries.

I don't think so... I believe I saw somewhere it will be available in April.

B&H shows 4/1 and PSSL shows 3/16 .. so sometime later next month I guess.

**edit** - read it wrong .. PSSL shows MAY 15 (not March).

Yes!!!... It was B&H I saw it and I think you can even pre-order there? Memory isn't all that good, but sometimes... What was I saying?

I remember you saying you were going to give each of us $1,000,000.00 .. and a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, so we could all go trail driving together.

Okay, so I got the Denon system set up and tested it out. Simply put, it works nicely. Pairing was simple... I didn't need the instructions to do it, and it seems that once it's paired, it remembers its pairing setting if you happen to unplug it.

The pros: No interference. I tested it in my house, with the transmitter in my basement office/playroom and the receiver in the garage hooked up to one of my EV speakers. Approximately 60 feet away, one floor up and through a steel door and firewall, and the sound was crystal-clear. I like it.

The cons: Just one. The audio cables plug into one side of the units, and the power cable plugs into the opposite side. My guess is that there's only so much room inside each unit and they wanted to keep the power connections as far apart from the audio connections as possible. I can live with it.

I'm no Brian Redd, but here's the scoop:

Nice Job Brendan .. keep us in the loop as you use them "in the wild" .. I think products like this will be nice to have in the "toolbox".

Next up is figuring the right power cable adapter to keep everything behind the speaker.

Need some type of
Sit it sideways and use a 90 degree angled power cord?
"T" to get power to speaker and unit. Maybe one of these ..
