I really don't think your setup is faster than what am referring to and arguably slower with the way you are running your backup, but to each their own.

You would be better off ditching the monitor so you don't have to look like someone from the geek squad running a keyboard and mouse. It's also a cleaner, better presentation, and less to fuss with.
We will note your opinions .. :)

It’s NOT a monitor... It’s a computer... AIO.[emoji1] If I ditch it, well... you know... NOTHING WORKS!!![emoji1] And while it might be (look) geeky, that’s pretty much what I am.[emoji1] I like having the mouse and keyboard for music searching and Internet browsing (to acquire requested tracks).

You can't really setup much faster than my Small System (minus the backup). Like I said, my Large System was pretty similar to your description (controller in coffin and separate rack, and I can assure you, having everything in ONE rack is MUCH faster to setup and transport...

That is super limiting. You would be better of with one small 4 RU rack to put all the other rack stuff in. Yes, it's one more piece, but it allows much more flexibility and freedom in the future.

What do you have that is rackmount anyhow?

Mic receiver, lighting controller, DSP??

You can argue it is not as secure, but it's not not secure. I have never heard of anyone, and speaking from experience have an issue with their gear b/c it's not screwed in. The cases are custom fit for the equipment.
It’s simply a matter of bring in one case instead of two, quicker easier set up, fewer connections and far less table space used

Don't you feel you're too covered/hidden with this approach?

why does need to be rackmount?

If you want it higher b/c you are super tall, just stack the coffin case.

@jaswrx - Answer: Nunya' :) that's why it needs to be rack mounted. Stacked coffin cases (I assume you mean by utilizing the lid and/or entire case) are still not tall or comfortable enough for my use. Even if they were, I prefer having a compact rack mountable controller. Clean, simple and effective for my use.

Yes.[emoji4]... I think you have the right idea, but it’s going to take me a while to make the change to a podium style system. In the meantime, I can make a few adjustments to my current setups to downsize my monitors a bit. I need to do some contemplatin’ first.[emoji1]

I found this old thread and I to say they made a big mistake discontinuing the 6000. I LOVE mine. It's compact enough and can easily be carried in the case I use. Not super heavy at all and it has some nice features.

I suspect they stopped making them because they don't have the pads in the front for effects like a lot do now. They were solidly built and not the cheap plastic ones some make.
