I am in search of a decent super lightweight power amp to power a pair of Yamaha CZR 12’s, this is the next step in my passive system. Who’s got suggestions

How lightweight ? .. I had QSC PLX2 amps for many years and they were rock solid and they weigh about 20 pounds. You can get them on eBay like this one:

If 18.5 lbs isn't too heavy, I can recommend the Crown XTi 4002 or the equally light but lower priced & powered smaller sibling, the XTi 2002.

My Behringer NU3000 has been rock solid, and weighs 8 pounds! Early samples had bad diodes in the power supply with a high failure rate.
IMHO, any of the new Class D amps are excellent - just make sure it has a switch in the back for Bridging. If it doesn't, it's probably a 4 channel amp internally that's already been bridged to two channels. Stay away from those.

The speakers the OP is using will be better served by amplifiers with a more robust, reliably rated power output, such as the QSC PLX3120 or Crown 4002 as opposed to the Peavey ipr 3000 and definitely the NU3000.

Those Yamaha cabinets are capable units, use 'em well.

Guess its all a matter of opinion.

IMHO, ALL the current amp manufacturer's are guilty of B.S. ratings. The Peavey IPR 3000 will swing 50 volts across an 8 ohm load (actual true measurement), which is plenty for a speaker with an 800 watt "Program" rating.

I really want to trust peavey I had one of the early ipr amps only lasted a little over a year before it lost a channel

I've heard talk about them not being reliable (mostly early editions) but the ones I had were rock solid and didn't give me problems. They're also cheap enough that you just stick an extra one in the rack as backup. They don't weigh anything hardly at all. The one downside, apparently that technology pulls harder from the circuit so you could conceivably pop breakers but it never happened to me.

Here's another eBay QSC auction .. this one for a PLX3602. I used one for sub duty and NEVER had an issue ... 725w/ch at 8 ohm.

or if you need lighter, the PLX1804, 425wpc is only 13 pounds. I used one for monitor duty.
