I did something a little different with the facade today. You may remember, there's a slanted top section. I left that off and kinda like it. Still has the good, solid table but the wall height doesn't hide the DJ quite so much. Here's the way it looks with the extra height:

Here's today's setup

And yes, I did move my bag and the coat hanger. And no, garbage can is not mine.

Is the hanger on the side an add on option to give the DJ booth a home grown open Closet feel to the audience? :)

...I like the look! ...Just wish it was like 3 inches higher, but that's me being a bit picky.

Looks better to me except photo #1 doesn't show your rig (and coat hanger). Store bought facades are too high for me partly because I'm only 5'6". I'd prefer a facade that doesn't completely cover all the equipment either. Just cover the messy stuff.

The first photo is a sales photo from a store website. As for covering the equipment, we'll have to agree to disagree. I prefer a completely enclosed, covers everything setup.

Then you would want to utilize the top part of your booth. Without it, it is exposing half of your laptop stand, mixer, 3 cords.

I like the laptop to be viewable from the audience perspective, but not the stand.

I believe a Table Top Facade would be better than a regular facade for you as they are 16 inches tall as a standard. Most regular facades are 47.25 to 48 inches tall in higher. A Table is 30 inches tall, and the 18 inches of Facade will pretty much cover just about everything on the table except maybe the top couple of inches of a laptop.

Table Top Facades are regularly 16 inches tall. That gives the audience 2 more inches of viewing space. Would be better for anybody who is short.

I kinda laugh when I see a short DJ behind a regular size Facade because they look like they are working in a Office Cubicle to me.

For Regular Facade, height wise your best bet is a cheap off brand Lycra one on Ebay. They run 44 inches Tall.
Event Facade White/Black Scrim Metal Frame Booth+Travel Bag DJ Booth Package 49008665781 | eBay - (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Event-Facade-White-Black-Scrim-Metal-Frame-Booth-Travel-Bag-DJ-Booth-Package/192191489335?epid=941339829&hash=item2cbf816537:g:RTQAAOSwlndZHszP)

That one runs 44 inches tall. Height Wise, it is great imo. My custom table top facade is 14 inches tall, which gives the same effect. The only downside with that facade is that the panels are not wide. Only 19.5 inches each panel. So to fit a 5 or 6 foot table behind that, you would really need 1 more panel to be ordered to connect onto it and have a nicer wide look. ...I think it would work okay with a 4 foot long table as is.

Another option is this black carpet Grundorf Facade. Grundorf ML-F3260B 32"x60" Carpet Series Foldable DJ Facade | Full Compass - (https://www.fullcompass.com/prod/187561-grundorf-ml-f3260b-32x60-carpet-series-foldable-dj-facade?gclid=CjwKCAjwp_zkBRBBEiwAndwD9To4P4CbDyBu8glfgOuTGkkEjG0sAnL0KXsj44YsPzH3IQGcjOKF_hoC0zoQAvD_BwE)

he big downside for this facade is it's only 32 inches tall. That just BARELY covers the table up so everything on the table will be open and noticed.

Outside of that...Every other facade out there seems to be 47 to 49 inches tall ...Only other option is going with a custom made table top like I had Dragon Frontboards make. You could get one made to your specifications with them. Your best bet is probably a table top facade 12.5 to 14 inches tall so it covers everything up nicely but still exposes enough of you standing behind the table.

I never liked facades.
But only because most of them are too tall for my taste.
This seems a lot better!

Thanks guys. Eliminating that top section does make it easier for drinks to be hung over, but hopefully the laptops are high enough to block those (I'm re-working my laptop shelf this week). The Pro-X obviously isn't made to be setup this way and the fabric has to be pulled tight, no biggie. Not having to put those 4 top panels on cuts setup/teardown time by about 2/3s. I'll be using it again on a prom this next Saturday and will try to post some more pics then.
