At least with Sirius...you have the choice to listen to a different channel.
When ALL the local radio stations are in a battle to see who can start playing Xmas music the earliest...
we have to deal with 4 or 5 stations playing it 24/7 starting in mid November.

Dec 1 is OK for me ... November 1 is a bit premature ...

Mine isn't ... the crap I listened to between 12 and 18 went out the door when I went to college. I listened to an eclectic mix after high school and fundamentally changed my musical tastes.

Same here... I don’t hate the music I listened to at 13-14, but it’s not what I choose to listen to today. I think that’s what allows us to be good DJ’s... Most of us are not STUCK on one particular era or style of music. I’m always looking for something new and different to play. However, when I hear those songs of the mid 60’s, I DO kinda have flash-backs.

I enjoy some of those channels during the holidays. Keeps the holiday spirit alive during the holidays around the house.
I love holiday music .. but there should be a penalty of death when played before Thanksgiving .. :)

I just dropped XM the beginning of the month. I just can't justify the cost. My old TL had lifetime XM and when I replaced it the new SUV with so many more ways to listen to music. Between, the stick, Pandora, Apple Music & I Heart radio I was listening to XM much less & the songs repeated too often.
I used to like listening to the holiday music when I was doing the corporate holiday parties. I loved searching for all kinds of jazzy, ethnic & different holiday I needed for events. Now I think I only really play the holiday music right near Xmas. Really it's my son who usually puts on the holiday music now.

I dropped XM as well - I'm not in the vehicles enough to justify paying for it - and half the time I'm listening to the stuff from the pools or the radio anyways.

Just bought the wife a Kia Optima which (like everything else these days) comes stock with a full infomation system. I do like the "Take Me Home" feature (basically, your house is a GPS Waypoint), but so far, the free Sirius Trial has me completely unimpressed.

We had it for a few years when got out Altima in 2015, we werent that impressed with it either, the only channel I listened too was the 90's On The 9, I thoroughly enjoyed that one.

Our oldies station here ( by oldies I mean 80's) Kool -FM started playing Christmas music early last week, jeebus.

Current music does suck. A lot of current TV sucks to. I think we can sum it up best by admitting that as consumers we have allowed creative art to be replaced by expediant click bait.
