Yea, he nailed it. So what? Do you want to educate and help the bar or do you really just want to whine because of the playing field you're working on? As a DJ, I'd far rather build my own clientele and have bars competing for my appearance, more than I would to sit in an empty club and hoping I get hired back again next week. If I'm a club owner, you'd better believe I want the DJ and the bar-tenders and the wait staff to be "promoters". If they're helping me bring in customers, they're helping me make money and I'm more than happy to share that money with the people bringing it in. If I've got some DJ who wants to get on youtube and whine about getting off his arse to help bring in business, hit the road.

You apparently do not deal with a lot of club owners these days. The sharing part is not in their vocabulary these days. I would say this is a education for new club owners who think they can just open the doors and not do any of the work which there are many around here. I have no problem promoting and bringing my followers to a place but I will damm sure to make sure I get every dime coming to me to do that.

No, I don't deal with club owners as I only do weddings. However, I dealt with them for years as a band member and we had exactly the same thing. Lazy club owners that expected the band to bring the crowd with them. As the person wanting to work in their clubs, it's up to you to negotiate more of the pie if you're, in fact, the one bringing the heads in the door. Sorry, but the video was classic whining, beating the same old horse that's been dead for years.
