So I picked up this light on sale 2 weeks ago to test it. Small mover, basic features (gobo wheel, color wheel) and it's small 6 x 6 x 11.

One feature it has is a LED ring around the lens that is separately controllable. In myDMX Go, I would either have to set it up as a separate 1 channel fixture to have it controlled along with the PARs (uplights, Wash FX2) .. or run it manually .. or fake out the system. SO I decided to fake the system and use one of the unused buttons in the middle that would normally control (if you had them) Zoom, Prism or Barrel Roll. Since I don't have or intend to get a Barrel Scanner, I went with "Roll" and created the profile so the LED channel (ch 12) was created as a Roll channel and therefore I could use that control to adjust the LED colors .. and it worked just fine ..

Very cool!!

I honestly think you could have a nice side career as a tutorial channel...i find your stuff concise... yet thorough ...and your voice and manner is far more soothing than most of these jackasses...lol

only complaint.... NEVER VERTICAL! ....never... lol ...makes me mental

Yea .. I didn't think about the vertical until I watched it and really didn't want to go back to do it again .. next time.

My son wants me to do a YouTube thing and monetize it .. not sure I'm up for it.

How bright is that fixture (watts) and how much? Source?
It states a 30w LED. I got it from PSSL

They have sales all the time and had a 19% off coupon last month so I got this, a white table skirt and some bags, so at the time the light cost me $146.

If you get enough traction and manufacturers start sending advance demos... that'd be a pretty cool gig.
