If you're only concern is putting out whatever has been set on fire... then a normal 5 in 1 type extinguisher should handle most common issues. And I definitely keep an extinguisher in the case for mine and set up if there is an emergency.
LOL. I'm secure in the knowledge that I will never be faced with need for advertising campaigns aimed at overcoming the viral image of me using a fire extinguisher at someone's wedding. :)

I remember Taso telling us to not use a cheap knockoff with this. Use the real deal and know what you're doing with it so there are no issues and you don't have to worry about being sued.

"But, your honor, we only use high quality sparks"
Good Luck with that. :)

It's also important to know the totality of risk. Fire is a secondary risk. The primary risk is PANIC.

The danger and casualties associated with a crowd of people in panic is ultimately what got fog machines banned. There is plenty of potential danger associated with just setting of the fire alarms in a hotel or other commercial space. There doesn't even have to be an actual fire for people to be injured or killed. The $500+ fine venues have to pay for false alarms is rooted in the danger associated with a crowd in panic, not simply the cost of an unnecessary response.

Imagine for example, had the crowd in that video erupted in panic. Stomping out the feathers would not prevent bodily injury resulting from a sudden rush to exit.

This is an issue that is going to resolve itself in the very near future. It's just a question of who wants to be the crash test dummy.
Play at your own risk.
