It's only a matter of time they will be banning these. I imagine these are the cheap ones but the optics will be bad

this is the phillipines, so I have no clue what kind of quality control is on those. Secondly, they had those flammable feathers too close to the top of the spark machine, where the material may still inadvertently be coming out hot. In the training we have to take for the more legit ones they say the area should be clear a few ft all around from any flammable items.

I blame this on cheap machines and poor installation/setup. But yes... honestly speaking, it's easier than people think to screw this effect up.

Looks like they set the spark machine right beneath the dried, feathered planter. In that case, it makes perfect sense that it caught fire.

Also another reason why you should always carry a class d fire extinguisher (about $1000)

I would argue that a fire extinguisher that can be bought from Amazon or Home Depot for $50 or less would have put that fire out quite easily.

Depends what’s on fire. If it’s the spark material that is under a different classification of flammable items and requires a class d extinguisher to put out. The feathers would likely be put out with a regular extinguisher.

Not knowing how to properly use anything can cause a disaster. If you don't know what you're doing or not buying the right thing, then don't do it!

Scary video for sure.

The particles definitely come out of the machine warm. This was a really dumb set up to have those feathers sitting there.

Taso is right, if the titanium itself is what is on fire a normal fire extinguisher will not put it out. If you're only concern is putting out whatever has been set on fire... then a normal 5 in 1 type extinguisher should handle most common issues. And I definitely keep an extinguisher in the case for mine and set up if there is an emergency.

You don't know, what you don't know...

It's about finding out how to properly get things to work. If you don't know how to get things done right, I would suggest either finding someone to show you how it's done or get them to do it for you.

I don’t know if anybody remember seeing this one from a year ago but it can get way worse. Hopefully someone has some really good insurance.

It the current video that flower display is clearly too close to the sparks. We don’t know who setup and triggered the sparks but I wouldn’t want to be that person because the flower display didn’t just jump that close to the unit.

The thing with that situation is those are REAL sparks, not cold spark machines. That was just stupid as those are actually hot and will easily put things on fire that are easily flammable.

That certainly was really wild. Why was this person tossing a beverage around like that? I guess it was an alcoholic beverage and that set things on fire. My question is who would be responsible for causing the fire and what did happen?
