BTW .. if you buy the RockWedges .. they actually come from AudioSavings.com outside of Queens, NY (I wonder if Rockville is their house brand as they are in Rockaway). I placed the order through the Rockville website and got a receipt from AudioSavings. They did NOT charge sales tax, which they would have through eBay. Not sure about their own site.

As for wireless, I use the similar Lixada .. primarily because the transmitter has more features ..

Do you have any of the battery op 6X18 or 9X15 style that I posted? I would love a side by side comparison from a trusted board member..... Wonder if anyone else has already done one....off to YouTube.

Just an fyi... I use a bunch of wireless uplights and wireless transmitters. With exception of the built in receivers in the uplights, all of my plug in receivers and transmitters are donner. In my biggest of packages I have my 1 transmitter giving signal to about 60 receivers (6 heads, 40 uplights, 6 truss uplights, 6-8 stage uplights. Never had an issue.

I have an older Chauvet Freedom Par, but nothing close to the others. When they come in next week I can compare them to one of my Blizzard Q12A lights .. those are 12x10w.

Here is a Youtube I found....may be more, that was just a quick search and the first thing coming up.....

May be more.
Kind of apples and oranges .. the larger units have 3 times the number of LED pods and therefore should cover more wall and be brighter. I was looking for some smaller units. Can't beat the wedges for price if they work ... :)

Where did you read about the 7 receiver limit? There are 7 frequency groups, but I haven't see a 7 receiver limit.

lol...admittedly i just assumed because the most they sell in a set is 7...which i found odd... then i read somewhere you could just add a 2nd transmitter with 7 more receivers and continue the chain.

So, kind of off topic, but I blame CC for it!!! I have been waiting to sell my other house and was going to pick up some new gear. Was looking at uplights and want to have at least 10, preferably 12 at a minimum to start offering it. The 2 kits I was looking at were both 10 packs. a 9X15 RGBWA with charging case and a 6X18 RGBWAUV. Those Rockwedges CC posted got me looking farther into them. Could do 12 for about the price of 10. But they are listed as 3 LED RGBWAUV and doesn't list the wattage. Looking deeper, it says 3 watts per LED, but rated to handle 18, so longer life. If this 3 watts if just one color to show a longer battery life? And 18 watts if all 6 channels at 255? (links at what I am looking at for reference.....)

with the advent of things like the ape lab cans and coins... if the big dogs go to sleeker slimmer beams...then this wedge should come in perfectly as a happy medium.... after seeing the big bulky bestpar60... i dont think i want to lug 10 or 12 of those around...lol

my fear with the cans and coins....heck...even this wedge...is some numbskull or kid just picking them up and walking away with them... lol...
