Anyone own these? I'm still new to the dj business. The guys I'm working with have some other models (quad 4 and tri-6). My main lights right now consist of 2 Wash FX hex's and 1 Kinta FX. I thought I'd go with this model as it has white and also the UV (not sure if I'd ever use it or not... but that effect from the wash's is kind of cool). I'm basically looking to start a small collection of uplights so that down the road I can offer this feature. I figure if I start with 2, I can use them under my booth (ADJ pro event table). When I get to four, I can put two more under speaker scrims.... and just keep adding on. I like the idea of the flarecon app and have seen it used. The biggest downside I can see with these is the price. At a little over 4 bills a light, that adds up quickly. Now grant it, most local guys are charging around 200-400 additionally for up-lighting, so they do have potential to pay for themselves, which is something I consider when purchasing new equipment. Just wanted to see if anyone had any opinions on them, or if I'm spending money I don't need to spend.

They are the highest quality Uplights under $400. They color mixing is second to none in the price range. I Have the Tri6s and have had them for 7 years. I know Ross has the Quad 4s. They have a newer version which uses a replacable battery--https://www.chauvetdj.com/products/freedom-par-quad-4-ip/#

I love the built in shield, long battery, clean looks, very high build quality, and just plain reliable. I own the little soft bags they go in and they are super easy to transport.

I used to use the app, but now use the hub part and have my own DMX controller hooked up.
