It's as good as a phone speaker like that but my understanding is it needs a solid surface to work well. Interesting technology but it needs some work for sure

I have seen MANY flat speaker designs over the years. I'm not sure what makes this one different.

I once seriously considered Martin Logan speakers like itigger showed. The problem is that they had a very small sweet spot and I don't listen in the same location all the time. Magnepans (also area radiators) had a similar problem. It basically comes down to the difference between an area radiator versus a column radiator versus a point source radiator. Each has their purpose but none are a panacea.

Anyone remember transducers in the 70's...... basically the magnet in ta speaker - you'd fasten it to the roof of the car (the metal) and turn the whole car into a speaker.

Have seen a few butt kickers over the years. Theme parks use them under your seat to not only hear but feel.
