Looking to buy a cheap mixer for home use, nothing fancy. Down to a choice of 2 mixers. A Reloop rmx10 or a Mixars uno. Both are around £100. Anyone got any advice?

Well, you said "budget"....
I'm sure ANY piece of gear that is affordable has it's limitations.
And if it's cheap enough, you can just buy a new one when it breaks.

I work for a concert production company on the side...and we use Behringer's all the time.
Are they the best? No.
But like most things, if you take care of something...
it will serve you better and longer.

Remember, even a Rolls Royce breaks down now and then.

My question first is how many channels do you need and go from there? I would suggest looking at a Yamaha mixing board. Let me also suggest not going to cheap with the price. You will want a quality unit that will last a long time and not have you quickly looking to get rid of it for something better.

Reloop and Mixars both make decent stuff. I'd go with what you like for now as a $150ish dollar controller unfortunately is more of a throwaway unit.

I would probably go with the Reloop if nothing other than it has Bluetooth.

Mix, until you can actually understand, implement and use the wealth of knowledge bestowed upon you, you are the least qualified to give advice here.

Seen reviews on the cheaper behringers and people say avoid

I've had a few of the Beheringer Xenyx units they are very clean sounding and sturdy. I bought the first one as an emergency fix and wound up using it a couple of years. It's a backup now and I have 2 more. That being said either of the two units you mentioned are as good

According to the two you're considering it looks like you want a DJ (2 channel) mixer. Gemini has several DJ mixers to choose from as low as $50. Compare features between models to make your decision.

I'm in the UK and there's not much around the £100 mark here. Purely looking for a 2 channel mixer for home use. I have the worst luck buying second hand stuff so just going to buy a cheap mixer, nothing fancy. Selling my current mixer on ebay and hopefully that will go for 100 or so, hence my budget. Was mainly after peoples options on the 2 stated mixers.

Looking closer at the 2, they seem to be similar enough, but there are differences, so it comes down to what specifics you need.

The Mixars has balanced outputs (better for driving powered speakers), an XLR microphone input and adjustable crossfader control (so you can dial in the crossover curve).

The Reloop has the aforementioned Bluuetooth, but only has unbalanced outputs. And the mic input is on 1/4".

If you're looking to play "battle" style, the Reloop does seem to have an easier replaced crossfader.

The mixars is classed as a battle mixer but you can change the fader curve smooth or sharp. The reloop has no curve adjustment. I only mix break beat and hardtrance and I won't use it a crazy amount so I'm not worried about changing crossfaders. The reloop has kills switch for eqs, mixars eq doesn't kill. But mixar has hi/low pass filter, reloop doesn't. That's the only difference really without mentioning Bluetooth.

Wrong sir. It's the mistakes I've made that I can give advice on this. I know as a newbie mistakes will be made. Such as buying an item thinking you're saving money buying a certain item because it cost less than another item. For example a salesman in GC tried to get me to buy the cheapest pair of Alto speakers they made. Now they do work. They are powered speakers that some will buy because of the price. Yet they are pure crap. Now if someone doesn't know any better they will buy them. Especially if that's all they can afford at that time. I had more money to spend and I bought the Yamaha DSR 115 speakers and have no regrets buying them. We still use them and I have no desire to get rid of them.

Now had I bought those Alto speakers I would have long ago sold them or they broke on me forcing me to trash them. A friend of mine has a pair. He also has a QSC speaker setup of tops and subs. He hasn't regretted buying the QSC speakers. One of the Alto speakers had to be repaired. My point is I learned over time what to stay away from and what to buy. Unless I need something in an emergency situation.

No .. you actually need to LEARN from those mistakes .. ALSO, you need to read. The OP was looking for a "DJ mixer", not a Yamaha live sound mixer ...

Over thirty years of your experience ,Ammonia & bleach don 't mix Mixy
Neither does water and the bottom of speakers .. he didn't learn that either .. :)

What are talking about!? OK you got me there. Now some will say a mixer instead of saying mixing board. A mixer is what we use to use. Some call a controller a mixer. A controller has a mixer built in.

And a bucket has a hole in it.
