Yes we all should love a packed dance floor with people going crazy over the job we do. The 2 things I love are this. The first one is before even doing the event. I just love it when people trust my judgment when it comes to playing the music at their event and not giving me a long list of songs they want played at their event. The other thing is when I'm playing for the event and I don't have a lot of people bugging me with a lot of song requests. A few is fine but not a whole barrage of requests. Especially when they give you a request and insist you play it, when you know their request is going to tank.

Truly and un-apologetically, the most fun I derive is from the opportunities to be part of/helping facilitate special memories from important moments in the lives of others.

As a father of 2 daughters, I am always awash with happiness and satisfaction when a loving parent gets to dance with their child at their wedding.

However, seeing beautiful women grind their azzes to the songs I play, also don't suck...had a wild one yesterday, GEAUX SAINTS!

I'm not afraid to admit
that I get the most enjoyment
in being the center of attention.

But yeah, finely dressed ladies losing their inhibitions runs a very close second.

So, basically...
you just don't want to hear other people's opinions on music selections?
Even if they are the ones paying you?

I enjoy the art of DJing, while being creative with my mixes. I love seeing the audience's reaction to an awesome mix, even when they know nothing about DJing. I spend a lot of time practicing and perfecting my skillset and I think it shows as I get lot's of compliments when I DJ. It's a great feeling to see at least a few people appreciate the hours that go into my sets.

I never said I didn't want their input when it comes to the music. I've said I don't care for a super long list of songs they want me to play at their event. I say if they're going to do that, then just rent a jukebox and let it do the job. Either you trust I know what I'm doing as a DJ or you don't. If you don't then why book me?

What I enjoy most is sitting down while I DJ the entire time, play all my songs from Youtube, eat as much free food as possible, helping myself to as much beer as I can, and leaving my cables exposed and completely unorganized, AND telling other DJs I did that just to piss them off :D

What service are you talking about?
To get you to jukebox....
and not trust your judgement? lol

But I love being a part of a special day for someone and having them thank us for making it wonderful. And the money..... And spending time with my daughter......

You have to see it from the client' point of view.
First of all, some people are very passionate about what they like and what they don't like.
Secondly, they are PAYING YOU to play the music THEY like.
And lastly... 95% of clients have never met their DJ until they hired them.
How can you possibly trust someone you don't really know?
A long list is just a way for a client to let the DJ know what they like and what they are looking for.

Would you hire a baker, and not tell them what kind of cake to make, or how to decorate it?
Would you let a painter into your house, and trust him to pick a color for you?
Would you go to the barber and just tell him to do "whatever" with your hair?
