Just wow. We're having a family reunion at my venue, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I was asking around for prices for a bathroom trailer, one day event. They want $1,200, which includes delivery to/from. Man, maybe I should've invested in some trailers instead of putting up a building. Doggone that seems awfully high.

When you consider the price to buy one of those things ($40-$60,000) or more and the cost of cleanup afterwards $1200 sounds a bit low

Steve,

What is the over/under on the # of wizassian posts this topic/discussion will generate?

Asking for a bookie friend.

I'm seeing a bunch at $30k but still, seems it was only a handful of years ago that you could pick one up for $6k-$8k. That shyte is expensive.

The ones I was seeing online were pretty fancy and maybe it was in Canadian dollars. Might be a good side business after the venue is up and running..Kind of a number 2 business ;)

So people will spend $1,200 on a bathroom trailer for a family reunion, but only willing to spend $250 for the DJ... If they even have one!

They could be like my cousin was with her wedding and get a single porta potty! $105 rental! Might be less! Her's was only $105 because she lived in the boons and they charged $25 for travel. They can be had for like $80.

So let me get this. The venue you say is yours doesn't have at least one bathroom inside? If that's the case then who will you get to rent the place? Please explain why you need a bathroom trailer.

Which do you prefer .. bad music or bodily fluids and excrement's? The one you like least is the one that costs more.
a $1,200 Bathroom trailer is usually brought in for a Wedding with a budget over $15,000.

This expense is outlandish for the TYPICAL family reunion

A couple of porta potties with hand sanitizer will likely be the more likely alternative the client will want to go with.

...Rick I recommend setting up a long term account with one f these bathroom trailer rental outfits. I know a venue in Maryland that did that starting out. The cost is a good bit less over time if they can simply park it once and keep it stationary there for an entire wedding season. I think the owner may have just purchased one herself at this point. It will still be costly though. HAVING ONE PERMANENT WILL HELP SELL THE VENUE RATHER THAN TELLING THE CLIENTS THEY NEED TO RENT ONE IF THEY WANT IT.
