Hey I thought a good way to make some extra money would be make a little rink bizz for music/announcing/banquets

I have 2 people that will work for me,

I wont get more then $15 a game from any team I doubt so I was thinking $10 goes to DJ $5 to me per game and $5 for announcer $5 for me, Id provide equipment except the DJs both have laptops but besides that me and ill do all the marketing ect...

Do you think this will work Im also making tourney packages and thinking of charging $70 and hour for banquets.

For equipment I have

2 Shure PG 48 Mics
1000W Pyramid P81000X Amp
2 Yorkville 15inch 250 Watt 8 Ohms Speakers
3, 2 channel mixers
dual cd player and controller
single cd player
eq
powerconditioner
radio/cassete/vinyle player

That would just be for banquets

Other stuff I have for the rink

Walkie talkies and ear peices

What else do you think ill need im looking at another couple of mics and a 12 channele mixer.

Do you think i could make this work and if so any tips?

Thanks:rofl:

I think you are spinning your wheels Mason. You are putting too much on the line and getting little if anything in return.

Stick to the banquets and your $70.00/hr rate.

Here is one big problem

1000W Pyramid P81000X Amp
2 Yorkville 15inch 250 Watt 8 Ohms Speakers

You are putting a 1000 watt amp on 250 watt speakers and leaving someone else use them that is probably inexperienced. It's going to take alot of $5.00 paydays to replace those speakers

To further what Jeff said. If your gear goes south like the US economy you will likely force a ton of negative potential with the venues as you will be voiding the 5 dollar contracts which you might be liable for as well. How will you be able to replace that gear to satisfy your responsibilities? Buying new gear will then add to your net worth abyss, but which will have you dig yourself out from a deep hole to break even once again.
