So do you need to use a Traktor-specific controller?
No, Traktor Pro 2 had mapping for many boards but not all. Ver 3 has more compatibility and offers a parallel waveforms view that many have been asking for. Didn't you have the DN-MC6000? That is a Traktor ready controller.

Yes and thanks for rubbing it in. SMH ;)

I’ve used Traktor on Windows 7 and 10 with several different controllers. The American Audio VMS 4.1 and Pioneer DDJ-T1 were Traktor supported controllers, but my Denon MC6000MK2 did NOT use the same MIDI map as the supported MC6000. I got the map from the Digital Tech Tips Web Site, just as I did my DDJ-WeGO3. All of those systems work perfectly and reliably with Traktor 2 Pro on Windows 10, and I’m running Traktor Pro 3 with Windows 10 and on my Surface Pro with the DDJ-WeGO3.

I've recently taken another run at Traktor Pro 2.11 (I've been playing with the repaired American Audio VMS2) and have the following issue - not sure if you read this -
Traktor Waveform Heights (or size) - (https://ourdjtalk.com/djchat/traktor-waveform-heights-or-size.49511/)

I understand that this is not an issue if everything is first run through something like Platinum Notes, but that is a huge PIA. Does Traktor Pro 3 do the same thing?

I’m gonna answer this question @Handinon, but I need to take a look at my Surface Pro (Traktor 3) and compare it to my main DJ computer on my Small System (Traktor 2), which are both currently out in my minivan while I’m testing the new Podium system gear in my office. I’ve only used Traktor 3 in practice, but I can’t say I really noticed any difference in the Waveform size from Traktor 3, but it could be because of the drastic size difference between the screens of my main computer (23”) and the Surface Pro (9.5”). Plus, I was pretty focused on learning to use the WeGO3 controller as well.

I’ll get that Small System back out today or tomorrow and set it back up so I can take a better look and compare, then I’ll give you my best answer.

No rush. My next gig is June 8th and I'm sticking with Cross DJ for now. Thanks.

No .. one of it's downsides. No Karaoke either (for those that care :) ) ..
