Right now I have a commitment that requires me to get a different printer then the one I have right now. I need another one because of getting an email that is 39 pages long. I will be going to Micro Center to get one next Wednesday. I need one that you put the paper flat down to print things. Not looking to break the bank. Something reasonable in terms of quality, reliability and good on ink. I figured I would ask here because in the past I've gotten beaten up for just buying instead of asking for advice first.

Couple of things here...

Why does the paper have to lay flat?

If you are only using it for this why not Staples? For a coupe of cents a page you can get it done there

If you are determined to buy any of these will do the trick

Why do you need to print out 39 pages?

I just did a refi and a property purchase. I was able to do it with little to no printing. Things got signed and notarized digitally.

I have everything saved digitally.

inkjet printers are cheaper... but bad on ink... laser printers are expensive, but good on toner ("ink").

theres no such thing as laying paper down to print... I think you mean you need to be able to scan and print directly from a flat bed scanner.

Idk why you always go to micro center... best buy and staples have better prices

Instead of us recommending something... how bout you tell us the budget you're working with.

This is for a commitment they want things in writing. So you have to present it that way. So that's how many pages the report was and next time it will be the same or close to it. Things have got to be accurate.

You say they do but I say they are way over priced. I just bought a 32 gig flash drive from there for $5. I was in Best Buy and they had covers for the tablet I just bought and they wanted over $100. I only go to Staples when I need something printed out. Even their CD disc are over priced. I can go to Micro Center and get 100 disc for at least $10 less.

Well, I just compared 4 printers between microcenter and best buy... each time best buy was cheaper, and by at least $10. So Idk what you're talking bout... actually I don't think you know either lol. But hey if you want to overpay go for it... I mean you literally said you're coming here because you get beat up for making purchases without asking for advice... now adivce is given and you're ignoring it. BTW Best buy also has covers for tablets that are only $15... doesn't mean that just cause they carry the $100 case, they don't have cheaper options.

If that's the only reason you need a new printer, stop immediately. Just go to Staples or a FedEx/Kinko's and print it there. Better yet, ask a friend if you can go print it at their house. Buying a new printer to print ONE document (even if it's 39 pages) is plain stupid.

It's not one document. It's multiple documents over the year or longer.

Buying a new printer to print any document when you already have a functioning printer is something I’ll never understand.
I said it already that I can't load enough paper in the one I have before the paper runs out and the printer cuts off the printing and have to start over again. Also I can't move fast enough to load more paper before running out.

You do know theres a setting where you can print a certain amount of pages each time. For example you can tell it to print pages 1-20 first... reload the paper... and then tell it to print pages 20-39. Also never heard of a printer that can't hold more than 25 pages. Sounds a lot like user error.
