I am fairly new on this forum though i do have 102 post's but not many are amazing qualite, people have said. I want to be confident and make many posts and threads but then people say it's spam if i do little im not noticed so what should i do i need advice because on this rate i'm going to be banned which would be tragic. Now i sound like a crying man who loves sympathy but that's not me. I am an enthusiastic young man who loves music and chatting and just wants to have a conversation. Im sure this thread will be ignored by you fellow djs but if you are on this thread please tell me what to do. Thank you DJ Bobcat for giving me some advice on a different thread. I really appreciate you all and just be honest. I would rather you tell me i'm a little brat whos really annoying than to lie and say its fine dont worry. You will be fine as long as you don't continuously post about doing the same thing over and over again, and getting no where, but expecting better results with what you continuously do. ...Someone else here does that. I think that is called "insanity" or maybe just can't teach an old dog new tricks, not sure :scratchhead:

As for posting SPAM...I post plenty of it, and people deal with it whether I am right, or I am wrong (hardly ever wrong by the way... :cheers: :laugh: :popcorn:) or hold the opinion different from many others here on various topics. So in the end, you will be fine :)

Less posting, more reading and absorbing. Comment when appropriate. It gets a little annoying seeing multiple posts started on similar topics. Group them together. No need for a thread on favorite genre, worst genre, favorite band, worst band .. figure out a way to put all those into 1 thread and you get more traction.

We get that you’re learning to be a DJ, but you don’t say how old you are or where you live. We don’t know what genres you like to play or how you mix. We don’t know your skill level, or if you’ve had any gigs as the main DJ.

You don’t have to start a bunch of threads to get going... just respond to other threads where you have an interest, opinion, or question. The best way to learn is by asking questions. Just make sure you ask questions you really want answers to, not just questions for their own sake.

Anyone here can tell you, when I started here 6 years ago, I took the advice I was given. I didn’t ask for advice just to ignore it and do something totally different. I still had some of my own ideas, but there were many times I didn’t know enough to make a good decision, and that’s when I asked for advice. Give it a try.😊

Many new members come in and start basic threads about topics that have been discussed many times over. Before starting a thread, search for an existing one and add to it. You'll find that there are plenty of existing threads on just about every topic related to our industry.
