Jim, you probably need to get some pills for your MERPD .. "Mix Equipment Reflexive Purchasing Disorder" .. not going to lie .. it's often fatal ... :)

The lady who runs the venue (granted a low caliber one) said they haven't had a "real" DJ there in quite a while and most people just bring in one speaker (a small room) and use a phone or tablet for music.

So, you're back in business and now their House DJ? :)

3) NEVER and ALWAYS are not real words.

Oh its for real...after an anniversary party this Saturday night (again a friend who heard I was doing this wedding) I will be going back down that rabbit hole as my knees spoke clearly to me on Sunday morning...

It starts with a wedding .. then you get a solitary Anniversary Party .. next you'll be doing raves !!

Staples has a very relaxed return policy on laptops. I re-set it per the instructions, packed everything back up and was in and out in one minute.....no questions asked. Sweet!

I ended up buying the quad core i5 version of that same PC for my wife. It’s scheduled for delivery today. I wasn’t really looking at Staples until this thread, so thanks for pointing me in that direction... saved me $50.[emoji4]

They delivered my wife’s new HP laptop last night at around 5:30 PM. I was cooking dinner, so had to wait ‘til afterward to get it set up. There were a couple of hiccups, but I got it all set up by 8:30 PM. I use local accounts on all of our computers, but stupid Microsoft won’t allow Office 2016 to install unless you’re logged in with your Microsoft account. Still need to transfer her files and email from her old laptop, but that’s easy... should only take me 15 minutes.[emoji4] She’s gonna LOVE using this new PC. It’s FAST!

Though I looked at the Timex computer, I had access to a lot of HP computers (I had just started there) at the time and did my programming with them. I did play with my brother's Commodore 64 though .. cassette drive and all.

I started with these 2 (both came out in the very early 80s) .. the HP85 and the HP 9816. Being in the sales organization, we had a loaner library and I could take these home whenever I wanted ...

And when I say desktop, I mean it took up an ENTIRE desktop.[emoji1] Wasn’t something you could afford to buy and too big to take home, but I used it at work.[emoji4]
