Touch Sreen is the future. DJ controllers will be a thing of the past at some point in time

In 2030 DJs will be putting down touch screen DJs for not learning how to DJ on a controller kinda like how now, and for the past 15+ years there are these Vinyl DJs who put down digital DJs LOL.

I agree that touchscreen is in the immediate future, but you still need a good sound card, and tablets are not there yet IMO. Also, there may not be any DJ’s in 2030, so nobody put down touchscreen users. Everyone will just pass the tablet around like at the party in the video... call it DJ Sharing.

I dunno about the sound card debate though. I mean, I get pretty darn good sound blue toothing my phone to the Bose S1 Pro. That set up for a house party would sound great!

10 years from now, Sound quality from a decent tablet blue toothed to a DJ system could sound phenomanal.

Actually, it could sound like [email protected] and most party-goers won’t know and/or won’t care. If music continues to get worse every year (as it has for the last 5-10) a good sound card won’t make any difference by 2030. Besides, once all the DJ’s are gone, people won’t have anything to compare to.

According to most DJs opinions. We will still be around in 2030. In what capacity, and how advantageous will the opportunities for earning money be at that point are harder questions to answer though.

Traktor DJ has been touchscreen on the iPad all along .. that doesn't mean the PC version will be.

Yep... PC version WILL be touchscreen according to the news release, but it could always be fake news since most news IS these days.

Now (when it’s released) I need to decide if I want to ditch DJay Pro and use the new version of Traktor. I’ll have to try it out and see.

I really want an all in one .. music, video, karaoke .. I don't really care for the bling (like the waveform displays) .. I just need it to be stable and to work every time.

Right now it's between moving to PCDJ DEX (full, I have the Red edition) or VDJ .. both seem to do everything.
