We talked about long Usb cables a while back. Here’s what it was for. A cooking demonstration, and I’m providing an overhead shot of the prep surface. Ended up using a usb webcam from my photobooth, mounted on a photog boom over the head of the presenter. This goes back to a laptop, then to a vga splitter, and fed to 2 projectors, left/right. It turned out good and the client is very pleased. It’s fun getting a new challenge sometimes.

Those projectors need adjustment ...

Interesting!

I have never done a cooking event before... How many guests are attending this event? How did the client find you?

Are you playing any music, or did you just set up the screens and video? How long is the event? I kinda figure maybe 3 hours?

I've worked for the Director for several years, misc events. She usually calls me when they have some idea that they've never attempted before. I'm only doing the camera and projection screens. No clue how long the program is. I'm sitting here, backstage, watching hulu and posting.

I got to ask. How much are you getting paid for this gig and what did it cost you to provide the stuff need for this event?

I was paid $750. It cost me about $75 for new VGA cables, USB extender and VGA splitter. I already owned the projectors and screens.
