I know a couple of us on here have the same uplights. I am ordering more and wanted to do a comparison to see if the 9X18 are really worth the extra money over the 6x18. I ended up ordering more of the 9x18. They are brighter and have daisy chain outlets. I doubt I will ever need that but its nice to have. I also like that the controls are hidden under the light.

In all of the pictures the 6x18 is on the left and the 9x18 on the right. They are at various distances from the wall.

You should see a 9X18 against a Chauvet Slimpar. I was actually stunned at the difference in presentation. I have to say I'm also becoming a fan of the 45 degree wall shot. My son did that last night and fewer fixtures can cover a lot more wall space.

Those 9 x 18 in your pictures are not wireless DMX? I don't see an antenna nor an on/off switch for wireless DMX.

The 9x18 have an antenna on the side. However, I have never needed to extend it. The 6x18 is the same. The on off for the wireless is built into the programming. They have little LCD screens where you can select several setup options. They also have WIFI mode that lets you run them from an app.

They look pretty much the same to me other than the beam angle. Your 6x18W probably have 15-degree lens while the 9x18W most likely have 30-degree lens. I know the manufacturer I buy from has 15/30/45 choices I believe... The 9x18 is quite a bit larger than the 6x18. Maybe post a photo of the two side-by-side for reference.

beam angle is produced from lenses and optics of the fixture.

The number of lenses or LEDs having nothing to do with beam angle.

A light that only has 3 lenses can spread more than one that has 6 or even 9. It's all in the design.

Exactly my point. The 9x18 appears to have a wider beam angle.

I don't know about you guys' fixtures but the ones I'm using have a perfect beam angle, although I have no idea what it is. I loved shooting these diagonally across the brick walls this past weekend. The difference between these and the slimpars was astounding.

If you have the ones from Both Lighting, they are 25 degree lenses.

I am doing some more testing. Right now I have had them on for 3 hours in flash mode, which just rotates through each color at a high speed. The vendor claims 4 hours of constant flash on the battery. So for 3 hours and them still having 55% and 65% left is pretty good. I also added a size comparison picture. uplight6.jpguplight5.jpg

Thanks for posting the side by side photos. Looking forward to your findings on run time. You'll probably get at least 7 hours in that mode.

Looking at the displays, it appears that both are the same 'brand' of fixture. Which one is it?

Could you post a photo of the opposite side of the 6in1, where the plug in is? My 18 Maky branded fixtures (6in1) do not have a charge indicator LED to let you know when they are full charged. I can see the transformer light through the vent holes in the bottom, not ideal though. Their charge also drains over time when not in use. I also have 6 of the Feng brand which do not drain, although I prefer the Maky taking into account all of their differences. I absolutely HATE two-piece yokes!

They went about 5.5 hours. The 6x18 had 5% left when the 9X18 finished. Next test will be one color and all color. The 6x18 does not have a charging light. The 9x18 does. I haven't noticed them running down when not in use. I generally put them away after a gig, then the day before the next gig, I charge them. The lights are from Both Lighting https://bothlighting.en.alibaba.com/ My rep is Cheryl Lau who I primarily communicate with on Facebook messenger.

Do most of the people in the forum that have these lights get the charging case thats offered when purchased or use other forms of storage and transportation?

I did not. For hauling gear, I have 3, 2'X4' flatbeds with 4 inch casters on them. For the uplighting flatbed, I added 1' tall sideboards. It holds about 16 uplights and as I pack them up I daisy-chain the fixtures together so they can be charged before the next gig.

I recently just got in a few of the 6x18 watt Cube Lights From www.rainbowlightsus.com

They are awesome! I went with the 6x18 because they weigh less, and I assumed the battery life would be a bit better.

I used them on a the last wedding I did. Battery lasted over 9 hours no problem in them. I also had them wireless DMX linked and in sound active mode for half the night.

Very nice. How is their reliability? Any failures? How are repairs or failures handled with that company?
