New Tops

OK, I sold some older equipment and need to buy some new (non-powered) tops to go with my new
Yorkville ls801.

I have a budget of about $ 600 to $750 for a pair. What would be a good match for my Yorkville?

A little bit more, but a pair of Yorkville E210s would be killer.

A little less, you can probably get a nice pair of JBL PRX412m for around $800/pair.

I know I'm going to get poo-pooed here but I've been using Carvin Pm-series, 3-ways for the past couple of years and LOVE them. I currently hit them with a crown xti4002. They're clean and clear, both at high and low volume and I've already beat on them pretty hard and they just smile and ask for more. You're talking $550 for a pair. These things match up beautifully with the LS801p.

I run Peavey Pr-15's and have not had a bit of trouble out of them.

Another option is the Yamaha Club series (actually the C model) either the C112v ($500/pair) or C115v ($600/pair). Very nice sounding, but won't go to the limit as the PRX will.

I'm a true believer that the Yorkville E210 is a great top for those subs. But they run around $800 each unless you can find some used somewhere (good luck with that).
