OK Boys & Girls. This one is very simple. However, so it does not get complicated, let me clearly state the criteria. Name ONE Famous Band/Performing Artist from One State.
We will do this for one individual State until all the States are covered. In other words, do not repeat the States. That Band/performing Artist CANNOT be just a Local Band/Artist. They have to be known on the National or International Stage. If for example someone has chosen a Band/Artist for New York, then someone else can not pick another Band/Artist fromthat State.

I will start with the following.
"Aerosmith" from Boston, Massachusetts.

Your Turn.

Springsteen - New Joisy

ZZ Top - Texas

John Mellencamp - Indiana

Paul McCartney -- UK

Hey, you didn't say the "state" had to be in the USA... xf:D
But he did say it had to be a "state" :p Don't remember the state of UK in geography class.

Don't worry about him Steve. In every Class there is a Knucklehead! ;)

John Mayer, Bridgeport, CT or Michael Bolton, New Haven, CT

You said Michael Bolton...

Journey- California. Add the Eagles. Two for the price of one.......................

Actually, only one of the Eagles members was from Cali (Timmy Schmit). The rest:

Glenn Frey - Michigan
Don Henley - Texas
Joe Walsh - Kansas
Randy Meisner - Nebraska
Bernie Leadon - Minnesota
Don Felder - Florida

OK you two, give someone else a chance to post! ;)

I guess we figured since no one else was posting, we'd help it along ...

I think if they wanted to, they would have already... ;)

If you want a lot of DJs to post -- create the thread during the week, when their wives are out working, and they are sitting at home doing nothing... :sqlaugh:

So Far we have the Following "First Choice Postings":

New Jersey - Bruce Springsteen (Contributed by Steve Ct.)
Texas - ZZ Top (Contributed by Jacob)
Massachusetts - Aerosmith (Contributed by Canute)
Indiana - John Mellencamp (Contributed by J Mac)
Arizona - Linda Ronstadt (Contributed by Radiowizard)
California - Journey (Contributed by Jon Tuck)
Tennessee - Nashville Pussy (Contributed by Paul R.)
Florida - Tom Petty (Contributed by Softjock Rick)

I have never heard Nashville Pussy on the Radio. I'll have to rethink criteria next time I post an exercise like this LOL. Leave it to DJs to exploit holes in a plan! ;)

OK Carry on y'all!
