I have Chauvet Freedom Par and Freedom Par RGBAs and running them with a remote control now... I tried to make 1 master and the rest slave...but the RGBAs and the RGBs are not communicating. I had to split them and point my remote at RGBAs and RGBs and the slaves respond to each set.
Why is this happening? I thought they are all suppose to respond...

I intend to get the new FlareCON air and use that as a controller as oppose to Obey 3 or 4?
Does anyone know if these lights will respond to a signa from a D'Fi controller?
FlareCON air or Obey 3/4?

Thanks

I believe the slave functionality (at least based on the Freedom Par manual - I have a RGB) is limited to same type devices only .. mainly because the programs are different in the different series.

Wireless DMX, whether through an Obey controller (I have a 40) or through software will control them all, but only because you program each fixture separately. Not aware of a chase setup or similar that will work across multiple devices unless you build a program for that in DMX.

Not sure about FlareCon.

Thanks Steve. To rebottle, I called Chauvet and I have the issue resolved.
All Freedom series can communicate with each other, from the original RGB to the new Hx 4, Tri 6, etc are build to communicate with other and be able to link them in a Master/Slave settings.
The solution to my set was the frequency. ALL the units have to be on the same frequency setting. I think the frequency range from 1 through 13 or 15... That is put in place so that one dj can not control another DJ's lights in a nearby room....well unless both DJ's are using the same frequency ...
I hope this will be useful to others.
All my Freedom pars now respond to one Leader (master)'s color scheme.

Well that's certainly better than the older style DMX wireless boxes. V1 and V2 won't play together at all.
