Hello there guys!

As I am new, I wasn't sure where to post this and I hope that this section is okay. Since I am not from the US, but have been booked for a gig in Vegas, I wanted to ask you, whether you know a good place to stay? I have to find it on my own and I have no idea, where to begin my search.. Maybe you know a good hotel that isn't too pricey? I would appreciate every idea!

Where are you booked? When are you going? and What do you want to spend?

One site I use is http://www.smartervegas.com/ .. there are discount codes (some not published anywhere else) for many of the Vegas hotels.

Whatever you do, just remember The Riviera is a dive.

Ask your client if he or she has a block of rooms in reserve for the guests. You can get a pretty sweet discount if that's the case.

Well this one looks good, but I compared it to the other site which was removed from my first post (http://las-vegas.hotelscheap.org/) and I wanted to know if you have any clue whether this is trustworthy. I just want to know how good this site is?

The site (las-vegas.hotelscheap.org) seems to be BBB accredited. One would have to compare prices.

The difference seems to be that smartervegas.com focuses on special pricing for future rooms and the las-vegas.hotelscheap.org site seems to focus on last minute, unsold deals. If you are planning a trip out a few months, I might go with the former and if planning a trip this weekend, the latter might get you a deal.

I'd suggest staying wherever the gig is taking place. Even if you're staying at the hotel next door to where the gig is taking place, you could be setting yourself up for a 10 to 15 minute walk to get from point A to point B. If the hotel looks like it's a block away on a map, you'll want to give yourself at least a half-hour to get there.
