I can see having a white set for times when you need to blend in.

I can see a use for white when you are at the beach or outdoors. White deflects the sunlight and could help with protecting your speakers from sea spray (salt). However, black would seem to be "death" for any self-powered speaker outdoors. If your speakers happen to be very road weary, then I guess a cover would definitely hide the chips and scratches.

The few skrims I've seen just reminds me to give them a call...

:D

That black lump looks like a laundry bag...
and would probably attract people's attention more than a speaker loaded with scratches and dents.
What's wrong with having a speaker look like a speaker?

That won't be a good look for me, even if black is "slimming"....

Yeah guys, PLEASE don't use these, and start a trend, making them the "must have/new thing." Please. Because I don't ever want to do this, ever ... (My apologies and condolences to the OP notwithstanding). Never. Ever.

That road leads to madness. Not only the silliness of the speaker covers, but then the "need" for multiple colors, for any occasion and all possible bridesmaids dress combinations. Then there's the velvet speaker-stand covers. Quickly followed by multi-colored, floral-pattern knob covers for all outboard gear, and doilie-shaped faders and slider for the mixer, Lennox woodland-pattern porcelain lighting trussing, etc., etc., etc. We draw the line here. NO.

Rick, I have tried to avoid my opinion on this for awhile, and the topic has been kinda humerous but;

Those Things Are Ugly as HELL, BUTT UGLY, Just plain FUGGLY are you getting the point here :)
