My wife answered the phone and told her I had closed down. She asked to talk to me anyway.
She tried to talk me out of retirement because she liked what I did for her friend. As flattered as I was I said no. I did think about it but I haven't done a wedding in a while and really didn't want to take the chance; I could have borrowed the gear from the lodge.
She asked for a recommendation of somebody like me.
