Gonna ask a dumb question - rack space

Since we're dragging this answer out as long as we possibly can... I'll add a sidebar. They use different size and thread rack screws in Europe (but a "space" is a "space" at 1.75" or 44.45mm).

They may be metric over there. Here, we're still using #10-32 thread for rack screws.

SKB has the right idea. Their rack cases sport open holes and the supplier sends a bag of screws and spring clip nuts. :)

which STILL don't work with ALL rack screws!

Apparently there is also a different hole spacing on "some" Euro gear. I had a NAD pre-amp that the holes did not line up, so I could only use the top or bottom pairs.
 
And I thought this was related to cup size :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
