Do you plan to buy something on Black Friday?

    Nope, not a thing.

    Mixing...is it really that important?

Club is far different from receptions. In club, you'd better not keep them on the floor for an hour, otherwise...You will NOT be back! The club makes money on bar sales, not the cover charge. If you don't rotate the dancers to the bar ever 12 minutes or so then the bar/club owner is NOT going to...

    A VERY helpful hint

I use Verizon (since 1999) and the last phone (before the LG 9100 I have NOW) was a Motorola Razr V3. It made calls....not much else. :)

    A VERY helpful hint

OK boys an girls, We all know we should back up our music databases, Music files and our financial records on a regular basis, right? Well....here's one you might not back up and didn't even think about. Your cellphones contact information and phone numbers. Yep boys and girls, I lost my phone...

Your average wedding reception is how long? Inspired by DJ Mango.

We see the average at 5 hours. 1 for cocktails, 1 for meal (at around 100 guests) 1/2 hour for formalities (Toast, cake official dances and bouquet and garter) and 2.5 for open dancing. I have played almost 10 hours and that did not include meal and cocktails. That is from when they started dancing.

Anyone here using PCDJ Red VRM?

Most times I use VDJ but this last Saturday morning did a 3 hour Zumba show at an open air mall here in northern Colorado with my mid size Bi-amp system and PCDJ Red 5.2. Yep....Red 5.2. Worked just fine.

School & Teen Events Party disaster

Many years ago I agreed to do a Boys/Girls club dance for 1/2 the gate. They told me they usually got 400 kids at $5 a pop. It was an off night so I said "why not". Only 3 kids showed up. I played for an hour (out of 3) and packed up and left. Never did another one of those.

    In Case Of Death

Like Chuck....Diana would probably sell the whole smash for a dollar just to get it out of the garage. I'll be dead so I won't know. It'll be one hell of a fire sale though.

Bar & Club thinkin of opening an "under 21" club...

DJMN, Respectfully disagree. If you are at a county fair or some local street dance, they may give you a warning but if you are engaged in a full scale rave or a club.....you're hosed! In an environment such as an organized event or nightclub they figure you already have all the licensing...
