S1 Pro with 2 Subs.jpg

My son wanted a Sub for our basement, and he wanted the "Loudest we can fit in the basement for music" to hook up to our vintage stereo sound system. I purchased a Rockville 10" Subwoofer. 300 watts RMS, 800 peak. It's meant to be a small compact DJ subwoofer. They sell for $180 on eBay. It just came in and I still have my Alto 12" Subwoofer here at the house because I took the time to make a "Micro System" video with it along with the Bose S1 Pro. So I decided to stack them together for Fun :)

If anyone wants to check out my Micro system Comparison video. I set the Bose S1 Pro on top of my Alto TS212S Sub. I also did the same thing with the Stage Right D1 Speaker. Next time I book a small micro wedding or birthday party, I am DEFINITELY going to set this up and use it.

Here is the video I made if anyone wants to check it out. I will get around to making a video with this new Rockville RBG10 Subwoofer connected to the Bose S1 Pro and Stage Right D1. That would be a very portable set up since this Sub only weighs 37.5 lbs. I will say that this Rockville Subwoofer actually works better with the home stereo system receiver than the Alto 12" did. I chalk that up to it being a less powerful amp in the sub itself, so it is actually louder and hits harder at lower volumes than the Alto 12" does. We had to get the volume real high to get the Alto Sub moving and thumping good.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that this is the most compact subwoofer that is sold by itself for DJ/Event purposes (Not a part of a line array system)

It is so easy to handle, and can fit on a car seat no problem if needed to transport that way. And I thought that my Alto 12" Sub was small!Sub Size Comparison.jpg

I've been tempted to try my s1 pros with the sub1's I for my pro32's. They are 34 lbs. People have reported good results. But i love the portability of the S1's. Adding the sub removes that advantage, in my opinion.
When I need more bass or more power, I might as well use the 16's or 32's, so I've never bothered.
