Update: I got the speakers hung today. 30 foot spread and I used 2, 800lb chains (12" long), mounted to eye bolts going thru 2X6 lumber. I still have to attach the bottom chains, to angle them downwards, but this job was enough for this old guy today. Thanks for the input fellas. Now I gotta get some help and get those TVs off the wall and the projection screen mounted (on the floor behind the ladder, it's 9' wide) and motorized.

Im glad I came here for an explanation. I saw. this pic posted on FB and thought the speakers looked like they were facing upwards. Now I know you weren't finished with their installation.

There are devices called "swivel Beams" or "One Way Arrays' that allow you to hang and adjust a single speaker cabinet to a precise position.

An example is this one here: ATM SB-14

There are also versions known as "wall arms" and wall brackets with dual angle or ball-joint like adjust ability.

For small speakers in non-critical areas it's possible to make your own swivel beam using square steel tubing of an appropriate wall thickness and Eye bolts.
Lightweight objects or decor may even be amenable to aluminum or wooden versions.

Thanks. I was using wall brackets, but wanted to suspend these out from the wall a bit. The eye bolts & chains are working well. I ended up using the smaller cables that I'd ordered to angle them slightly downward. I'm very pleased with how this is looking and appreciate your and everyone's input.
